You are An Iconoclast!
Not sure if it was a compliment, a criticism or maybe just an observation but many years ago I was having a conversation with a local pastor in which he described me as an iconoclast. Truth be told, I had to go home and open up a dictionary to see what iconoclast meant. Whatever the intention, he was right to a great degree… with this caveat. I am only interested in going after those beliefs, institutions, etc. that need to be challenged….. like main stream news and social media outlets, organizations like the WHO and WEF and of course government and the deep state.
SWIMMING IN A SEA OF LIES AND AN OCEAN OF DISINFORMATION
More than perhaps any other time in history we need to be truth-seekers, dedicated to unraveling the web of deceit that clouds our world and seeks to destroy our freedoms. We must confront the disinformation that is rampant today even if it challenges our current beliefs, opinions and views. My hope is that this blog will in some way empower you to see beyond the smoke and mirrors of lies and disinformation that bombard us every day.
1984 in 2025!
If you have not read George Orwell’s 1984 I would strongly suggest it. I would also suggest reading Animal Farm by the same author. My goal is to show you that what Orwell wrote back in the 1940’s is dangerously close to becoming the norm/reality in 2025. In 1984 Orwell wrote about the dangers of totalitarianism, Big Brother, psychological manipulation (gaslighting), physical control, the control of information and history, language as mind control, technology, loyalty, resistance and revolution, independence and identity, urban decay, and doublethink. Over time we will discuss each of these issues on this blog. It is shocking how “Big Brother” of 2025 is attempting to make Orwell’s 1984 a reality, a reality in which they exert 100% control over you and I. They say power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Power/control is truly addictive and “Big Brother 2025” is 100% addicted to it. They firmly believe that they are the “chosen ones” who should be completely in control of this planet. My hope is that this blog will be one small part of a movement dedicated to making sure Orwell’s 1984 remains a work of fiction and not a reality.
Who Am I.. Why the Blog? How do I write?
How do I write… In some ways I don’t.. I simply talk.. I find a topic I want to discuss and I talk to you, in my head, and I simply transcribe the words. It is a conversation, allbeit one-sided, but that is all I do.
I am Doug Trudell, 72 years old, married to the love of my life, Kelly, for 53 years. We are blessed with a fantastic group of kids and their terrific better halves and a bunch of wonderful grandkids. I love to write and speak (as they will all confirm). In the past I did a lot of writing as well as speaking at weekly gatherings in my hometown of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. In addition, I was very fortunate to get invited to speak at a number of conferences in places like Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maine and New Hampshire. The why is unimportant but that changed about 15 years ago when I simply stopped. I stopped writing, I stopped speaking.
So why start up again, why now? Because over the past few years something has become more and more clear to me. For the first time in my lifetime I am truly worried about the kind of world my grandkids are going to be “forced” to live in if things don’t change. Freedoms I took for granted are being eroded and eradicated more and more and faster and faster than ever before. Freedoms that should be ingrained into society as absolutes are on the road to extinction if things do not change, and that change needs to be sooner than later. That’s the main why!
Embedded somewhere within that reason are some secondary reasons. I don’t like it when I am lied to, when politicians, government bureaucrats, and main stream and social media outlets think I am too stupid to see through the boatload of “bull____” that try to pass off as the truth.
I don’t like it when elites think we “deplorables” have no clue what is best for us and instead think they should be running the world, that they will tell us what is good for us, what we should be thinking and doing. Again they think we are too stupid to see that their “brilliant” solutions to all the problems of the world today are never going work. Why?… Because it was all of their previous “solutions” to past problems that created the problems we face today. Perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad if they were simply inept or incompetent but in far too many cases that is not true. Many of the problems of today have been purposefully created by the 2024 and now 2025 version of Orwell’s Big Brother in order to fulfill their ultimate goal, achieving and maintaining complete control of this world, ruling over all of us “proles” (proles were the ordinary common people in Orwell’s 1984, think Hilary’s deplorables today) who apparently exist for one and only one reason, to serve “THEM!”
