Revealing 1984 in 2025

It would be hard to believe but in case you do not know the two gentlemen above, let me introduce you to Dr. Francis Collins, head of the National Institute of Health (NIH) from 2009 to 2021 and Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 1984 to 2022.

In community organizer Saul Alinsky’s book, Rules For Radicals there are several “rules” that Alinsky believes those seeking change should incorporate. There is no question Fauci and Collins wanted change, in fact extreme changes. Here are a couple of Alinsky’s rules to bring about change.

1. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
2. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

Put those together and if you can remember, were those “rules” used on people who objected to all the Covid policies that were enacted starting back in 2020? Were people who opposed mandatory vaccines, who opposed shutting down schools and businesses etc. ridiculed and were the attacks personalized? They sure as hell were.

Apparently you don’t debate or discuss the issue. Instead you ridicule your “opponent.” You attack the person. You try to isolate the person. We could debate the morality of these tactics some other time but I would like to suggest to you that when those tactics are used to “target” a person or persons who have a different view regarding a particular issue, it is a gigantic red flag, a warning that perhaps you should check the motives of the “attacker” who wants to make it personal rather than actually debate and/or discuss the issues. If “facts” support your position there should be no need to attack the other person. In fact you should welcome an open and honest debate where you will obviously be able to show the world how right you are! Unless of course…. you aren’t!

During the covid nightmare, in October 2020, Dr. Collins sent Dr. Fauci an email. Here it is. Notice the subject “Great Barrington Declaration” and the link to the “gbdeclaration.org.” More on that in a moment but note that Collins points out a 4th person who just happens to be a Nobel Prize winner, Michael Levitt, who apparently is a problem as well. Fringe probably isn’t a word one would normally associate with a Nobel Prize winner so Mr. Levitt escapes the label, at least it appears so. We will revisit Mr. Levitt in a moment.

One definition of fringe according to Miriam Webster is “a group with marginal or extremist views.” We are going to look at who really had the “fringe” views and which “fringe” views really worked?

Just my opinion but I think that a “fringe” epidemiologist as viewed by Collins and Fauci might have very little experience, might have credentials/degrees that are suspect and the word “expert” would not apply. So let’s have a look at the 3 “fringe” epidemiologists Collins refers to.

Let me ask you this… If you looked up the definition of “fringe scientists” in a dictionary and it actually showed photos, would you expect to find the pictures of these 3? I THINK NOT! Stanford, Harvard and Oxford professors with what appear to be tremendous amounts of expertise and experience when it comes to infectious diseases. I cannot be sure but it appears they might be as qualified as Drs. Fauci or Collins (maybe even more qualified). Before we delve into why these 3 experts and co-writers of the Great Barrington Declaration, which is the “IT” in the email, were so dangerous to Dr. Collins and Dr. Fauci that “there needs to be a quick and devasting published take down of its premises” let me just share a brief comment on Mr. Levitt.

Now to the “IT”… You can visit the Great Barrington Declaration at https://gbdeclaration.org/ To quote from the GBD itself… “As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.”

Under the B number 9… BINGO… there you have it! These 3 radical extremist epidemiologists dared to question the “science” of the powers that be, in this case, Drs. Collins and Fauci and the rest of their cohorts. Included in “cohorts” would be the US Government and Big Pharma! Three “fringe” epidemiologists had serious concerns over the “prevailing Covid-19 policies,” policies that were created or supported and instituted to a great degree by Drs. Collins and Fauci.

Aren’t Collins and Fauci over-reacting? How are 3 fringe epidemiologists going to get in the way of Collins and the NIH and Fauci and the NIAID and Big Pharma and the US Government? The problem for Collins and Fauci was/is that it wasn’t just 3 “fringe” epidemiologists espousing some “marginal” or “extremist” view. I am not sure what the number was back then but those 3 “fringe” epidemiologists weren’t alone… if you look today over 900,000 people have signed the Declaration. To be accurate many who signed are not doctors, scientists etc. they are just ordinary people but on the very first page of the Declaration for example, you will find doctors and scientists from the USA, Canada, Sweden, Germany, Israel, England and other countries who signed, including our Nobel Prize winner. Are they all to be described as “fringe?” Ultimately the question that MUST be asked is… Were these 3 fringe epidemiologists and our Nobel Prize winner and all the other doctors and scientists who signed the Great Barrington Declaration right?

When the powers that be tell you, in fact, when they order and command you, to follow the “science” the question we all need to ask, before becoming lemmings, is what science? The GBD promoted something called “Focused Protection.” You can read about it at the GBD website and hopefully I will focus on it in another article but for now let me share with you just one aspect of it.

What was the radical and extreme position that our 3 “fringe” epidemiologists and those who signed the GBD were suggesting? Ready for this… their radical and extreme view was that looking ONLY (let me repeat that)… looking ONLY at the actual effects of Covid-19 was a huge mistake.

What does that mean? It means that alternative treatment methods should have been considered when dealing with Covid. It means that the mental and emotional impact on children due to school lockdowns should have been considered before going ahead with that policy. The financial disaster of shutting down businesses and the loss of income for individuals should have been considered as well as the stress it created in and the destruction it caused in way too many marriages and families. The missed medical appointments and delayed treatments resulting in serious medical issues and unnecessary deaths should have been considered. Yeah, rather than jumping in bed with big Pharma, those in power needed to think about all those other things before instituting mandatory vaccines, shut downs etc.

Actually think about the following… what policies were more radical and extreme, the policies instituted and mandated and forced upon the people of the USA and ultimately the world by Fauci, Collins, Brix and the W.H.O. and all their partners (dare I add “in crime”) or the policies discussed in the Great Barrington Declaration. Was Sweden a radical and extremist country or…. In case you don’t know…

SWEDEN – Experts all over the world warned what a disaster Sweden would be when the Swedes decided to keep schools and businesses open, to offer vaccines but not make them mandatory and so on. It was clear what was going to happen, except it didn’t… Read these quotes/stats about Sweden.

It “made headlines when it refused to implement draconian (love that word) measures as other countries around the world went into lockdown”, said AFP, via US weekly Barron’s.

Sweden had one of Europe’s lowest Covid-19 death rates despite shunning most lockdown restrictions, data released in May by the World Health Organization (WHO) suggested. It covered global excess deaths associated with Covid-19 from January 2020 to December 2021.

Stockholm chose not to implement a full national lockdown during the pandemic, instead relying on “VOLUNTARY CHANGES TO BEHAVIOR”, (my caps, my emphasis, what a “fringe” idea!) said The Telegraph. The decision meant the nation was “deemed almost to be a rogue state” as other countries introduced wide-ranging restrictions to stem the spread of the virus.

According to the WHO figures, Sweden had an excess death rate of 56 per 100,000 – well below the global average of 96. By comparison, between 2020 and 2021, the UK’s excess death rate was 109, Spain’s was 111, and Germany’s was 116. (WTF… that was definitely not supposed to happen)

At the beginning of the pandemic, Sweden’s public health officials argued that it would “take years” to see which approaches to combating Covid-19 would be most effective, The Telegraph reported, arguing it would be better to avoid “untested measures”. (Ah but Fauci, Collins apparently already had the science and knew what to do, except of course, they didn”t.)

They also took into consideration the “collateral damage” of lockdown, such as “the missed cancer diagnoses, the cancelled hospital appointments, and the lost education”, the paper said. And the decision “appears to have been vindicated”. (yeah I think we could agree that Sweden was vindicated.)

Sweden relied on individual citizens’ sense of “civic duty” to protect its population, said the Daily Mail, with authorities advising the population to practice social distancing while schools, bars and restaurants remained open to the public. (How dare they rely on people to make decisions for themselves etc.!)

The decision to keep primary schools open “paid off”, said Emma Frans, a senior research specialist at the C8 Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Stockholm’s Karolinska Institutet, writing on The Conversation. (You think it paid off… the kids in the USA and my home country of Canada and all over the world will be paying for years because Fauci, Collins et al knew better, except they didn’t. In a lot of cases, the impact on some of those kids will be permanent.)

“The incidence of severe acute Covid in children has been low” and a study showed that Swedish children “didn’t suffer the learning loss seen in many other countries”, she said. (I have a daughter who teaches grade 3. She has the science, i.e. she can tell you how devastating the school lockdowns were.)

So I ask again… who really had the radical extreme “fringe” views, our so-called health experts and their supporters including big Pharma or the 3 fringe epidemiologists and their supporters?

No one questions trying to save lives due to Covid-19 but if your “solution” ultimately causes more damage and destruction mentally, emotionally, physically, financially etc. than the disease itself… you have to at least consider that the cure might be worse than the “disease” especially when the cure might also be causing excess deaths. Virtually every government keeps statistics that tell you how many people on average will die each year in their respective countries. Excess deaths occur when the number of people dying exceed the norm and if that number is significantly higher, then one has to ask why. Many will not want to even consider it, but it seems excess deaths are up significantly and many in the health/medical industry believe that the Covid vaccines and boosters are at least part of the cause. It is not wrong to ask the question, has the “CURE” been worse than the disease? If it has been we have a problem because the “CURE” is still at work today around the world.

“Pressured into silence!” Again who is really spreading “disinformation?”

Dr. Redfield made the remarks in a May 16 interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, during which he lamented the loss of public confidence in public health agencies because of a lack of transparency around the vaccines, which he said “saved a lot of lives” but also made some people “quite ill.” (I am going to suggest that quite ill might not go far enough. Either directly or indirectly the vaccines/boosters have contributed to people dying!)

“Those of us that tried to suggest there may be significant side effects from vaccines … we kind of got canceled because no one wanted to talk about the potential that there was a problem from the vaccines, because they were afraid that that would cause people not to want to get vaccinated,” Dr. Redfield said. (Another example of the “smart people” in the room knowing what is best for all of us proles, deplorables etc. We aren’t smart enough… except we are and every day we are getting even smarter and that is terrifying to the elites who think they should run the world.)

One last telling quote from Dr. Refield: “I have a number of people that are quite ill and they never had COVID, but they are ill from the vaccine,” he continued. “And we just have to acknowledge that.”

Amazing! Looking back… how many people who suggested that serious side effects from the Covid vaccine needed to be addressed were ridiculed, criticized, labelled ____, (you fill in the blank but 100% might be a good answer? How many were censored, posts blocked etc.?

This almost makes me physically ill because this is the Prime Minister of my country, Canada, describing people who opposed getting the vaccine… In a National Post article by Rex Murphy it reads… “That was when Trudeau launched a strident, angry, ugly fusillade against “anti-vaxxers” in a French-language TV interview that has now caught the attention of English media. In it, he painted “these people,” the anti-vaxxers, as “often” being women-haters, racists and science-deniers, as well.” (Talk about using the Alinsky formula to perfection… Screw the facts… Make it totally personal… How about I do that… You mr. prime minister are a f___ing joke and you need to go “yesterday.”)

Murphy adds “That rage against the anti-vaxxers was classic scapegoating, together with all the escape hatches that come equipped with slippery attacks, such as using the word “often,” so he can push back if anyone challenges him on his characterization of anti-vaxxers as “misogynists and racists.”

As I said there seems to be no question Justin Trudeau has fully endorsed the tactics of Saul Alinsky mentioned at the beginning of this article. Canada is considering a hate law bill that impinges on free speech. I wonder if that stupid, moronic rant by Trudeau would be hate speech. Can anyone show me one iota of logic in his rant? It is sad what has happened to my home country.

So let’s cut to the chase. Were these 3 “radical” epidemiologists with their “extreme” views right? Was that rogue nation, Sweden, right? Just my opinion but I think if we took an honest vote on who was right, our 3 fringe epidemiologists win in a landslide. If we vote on who handled the Covid pandemic the best and our choices are the US, Canada, oh hell just make it the rest of the world versus Sweden, another landslide win, this time for the Swedes.

Follow the science was the “rallying cry” by Fauci, Collins and others but what science? Consider just one aspect of the Fauci/Collins Covid plan… masks. Apparently Fauci’s science was very fluid… it depended on who he was talking to and when he was talking. Initially masks weren’t necessary, but then they were, in fact masks became mandatory. So masks work, until.. sorry masks really don’t work. At one point paper masks will do, sorry paper masks won’t work, N95 masks are needed, until.. no they don’t work either! During the Covid disaster I worked at Fed Ex. On a table they had boxes of masks for the employees. I always found it “humorous” that if you turned the box over it said 1) made in China and 2) NOT for medical use. Apparently trying to prevent Covid was not a medical use… And thanks China for sending the world the virus and then selling us billions of useless masks. What a great business plan!

How about… You need to stay 6 feet away from other people. That was the science… well actually it wasn’t and long after the “fact,” in testimony, Fauci admitted there was no science supporting the 6 foot rule. Am I the only one who wondered when plastic “shields” were set up to separate me from the cashier… can’t the Covid virus floating in the air go up, down or around that piece of plastic?

The science said… You won’t get Covid-19 if you get the vaccine, oops that wasn’t accurate and it appears that you could possibly become even more susceptible to it if you get vaccinated. You won’t spread Covid-19 if you get the shot… wrong again because simply, you can. You will only need one shot, okay maybe one booster, okay 2 boosters okay 3… these were all “facts” and “true” according to the only scientists we were supposed to listen to… except they weren’t facts and they weren’t true. And all the while, other scientists, those like our fringe epidemiologists were actually putting forth “suggestions” that worked.

I hope to do another article and discuss Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin in some detail. Please note that I AM NOT NOT NOT a doctor. I have ZERO medical training, ZERO expertise etc. so I am not and will never be offering any medical advice. I am simply going to tell you what I have learned about those 2 drugs, things anyone can discover if they take the time to do a little research. I will tell you that when my wife, Kelly, and I tested positive for Covid-19 one component of our treatment plan was in fact Ivermectin. Took a little work to get it but we followed the treatment plan to a great degree found at Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance. (https://covid19criticalcare.com/) Again I am NOT NOT NOT recommending any type of medical treatment for any medical issue. Be smart and check with your own doctor.

However one does not need to be a doctor or scientist to figure out why Fauci and Collins and others were so adamantly opposed to what our 3 fringe epidemiologists were suggesting on the GBD. Want one reason… Ivermectin is really cheap, a few dollars a pill. On the other hand, ABC News reported back in June of 2020 the following:

“The California-based drugmaker Gilead Sciences announced its pricing plans for remdesivir, an antiviral COVID-19 drug candidate, saying the treatment will cost $520 per dose for U.S. private insurance companies and $390 per dose for the U.S. government. For a majority of people who receive a five-day treatment of the drug using six vials (based on current patterns), the total charged to hospitals for patients with private insurance in the U.S. will be $3,120. For those under U.S. government health programs, the total will be $2,340 per patient.”

Call me crazy but I have an idea that big Pharma wasn’t too keen on Ivermectin, the generic pill that cost a few bucks per pill. Not when they have millions and millions invested in a drug like Remdesivir.

No names, just an example. A specialist in my hometown of Windsor, Ontario told us that he was shutting down his practice because he would not get the vaccine and the local hospital was therefore pulling his hospital privileges, in essence forcing him to shut down his practice. Brilliant move by my provincial government. Let’s see if we can increase wait times to see specialists even more than they were and still are. Back in the days of Covid, one of my sons had a back issue that left him laying prone on a floor for several days. His family doctor thought he needed to see a specialist. He got a phone call from the specialist… 18 months later. Fortunately the back issue resolved itself long before the phone call.

Also in Ontario, my home province, nurses were fired if they refused to get the Covid 19 vaccine. To be accurate back in 2021 the Canadian Medical Association and the Canadian Nurses Association and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario were calling for mandatory vaccines. Why… because we needed to follow the science… if the nurses didn’t get the vaccine they could get Covid and spread it in the hospital… except of course that wasn’t exactly accurate science… getting the vaccine and the booster didn’t stop you from getting covid, in fact, some studies show it made you more susceptible… it also didn’t stop you from spreading Covid, despite that “science” being proclaimed by the experts, by main stream media and the government all the way up to the president of the USA. Think about it, let’s say a nurse got the vaccine. At that time the science said our nurse couldn’t get Covid nor could our nurse pass it along. So unaware that it is even possible, and showing no symptoms our nurse heads into the hospital possibly symptom free but in fact carrying and spreading the Covid virus. Just another brilliant move by the Ontario government. Not that firing all those nurses has in any way contributed to the fact that it is estimated by 2028 Ontario will be short ONLY 33,000 nurses.

Not to be outdone by Ontario, here is a story from British Columbia. In an article from the Vancouver Sun in July of 2024 (I am stunned that the date on this article is July of 2024) we read with my comments in brackets..

“More than two thousand B.C. health-care workers who lost their jobs because they refused a COVID-19 vaccine will now be allowed to return to work, after the B.C. government announced it was ending the public health emergency. Dr. Bonnie Henry , the provincial health officer, made the announcement Friday morning in Victoria along with Health Minister Adrian Dix. (Interesting… not because we screwed it up and our supposed science was all wrong but we have finally decided the public health emergency is over. Way to go Sherlock.)

Henry said they were rescinding the public health emergency and lifting all the remaining orders, including the vaccine mandate that was brought in during 2021 for health-care workers.

“We have reached the point in this journey that we’ve been on where I am confident that we can now lift the requirements of the public health emergency … effective immediately,” she said.

(I have to jump in here… and repeat… it has taken until July of 2024 for the B.C. government to lift the public health emergency… I have no words… I am speechless… actually I do have a lot of words but this would become X rated!) Continuing..

She acknowledged the decision would make some people anxious and encouraged all British Columbians to continue to get vaccinated against the illness. (I wonder if she is sharing Dr. Redfield’s concerns about the side effects, many serious, of the vaccine with all those who she would like to see get vaccinated… my guess in one word.. NOT!)

Health Minister Dix also announced a provincial regulation requiring all health workers to report their immunization status for all high priority pathogens of relevance. That means doctors, nurses and other health professionals will be required to report their vaccination status for COVID,  influenza, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, whooping cough and chickenpox. (Big Brother is truly at work.)

The requirement will be phased in, beginning with the collection of immunity status records of all new hires and health-care workers terminated due to noncompliance with previous order.

“While immunization will not be a requirement of employment, in the event of an outbreak health-care workers who are not immunized may be the subject of other action to ensure the safety of them, their coworkers and patients,”” (in other words, reading between the lines… get ready to get fired again.)

Also in the article we read this from government Opposition Leader Kevin Falcon who is the leader of B.C. United, and has been pushing the government to scrap the vaccine mandate for more than two years. He asks Premier David Eby and Health Minister Dix to provide the science to back up their decision. Apparently he has been asking for 2 years!!! It would have been a reasonable request 2 years ago… then again, maybe the science doesn’t exist!

Falcon said “I’ve emphasized the fact that we were the only jurisdiction in North America still punishing these critically needed workers — all to no avail,” he said. “So, what changed? Did some new science magically appear? Or is a looming election the only reason they’ve shifted direction? (Ya think!) You can decide for yourself, but the damage to our health-care system and the impact on the fired workers will take much longer to heal. That’s what happens when ideology trumps evidence.”

Not sure about you but I am definitely voting for the “looming election” as the real catalyst for the decision. Or… everybody else in the WORLD was wrong to end their Covid emergency when they didI Falcon suggested that maybe there was new evidence… like a) masks don’t work, b) getting the vaccine means you might be more susceptible to getting Covid, c) even if vaccinated and boosted multiple times you can still spread Covid d) the 6 feet away distance rule was never science. Maybe that was the evidence that ended the B.C. emergency. You want another reason those 2000 health workers shouldn’t have been fired. How about this… Maybe just maybe the idea that you should have the power to “force” people to put an experimental vaccine that has not been safely tested and has a lot of side effects into your body is a power no government should have.

Or maybe it was the following evidence that has emerged over time.. things like… a) how much damage the school shut downs did to our kids, damage that may never be reversed or b) the financial ruin it caused for individuals and businesses or c) the destruction it caused in marriages and relationships or d) the increase in severity of illnesses and excess deaths because diagnoses and treatments have been delayed months and months.

Weird how Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix have nothing to say about any of that. Permit me to repeat myself… If they were really interested, I have a daughter who teaches grade 3. She could tell Henry and Dix a lot about what their policies and the policies of Fauci and Collins and others did to our kids.

1984 = 2024

In Orwell’s 1984 Big Brother would not tolerate any opposing views. Not only words but even thoughts were regulated. Perhaps nowhere has this characteristic been more on display than over the past 4 years or so with regards to the Covid-19 disaster. Social media outlets blocked posts, cancelled and demonetized accounts all in the name of “stopping disinformation.” Medical authorities fired people for not agreeing to having their bodies injected with a new and untested vaccine. (More on that in another post). Apparently we proles, we deplorables are not smart enough to determine whether we agree or disagree with views expressed by our so-called scientists. We aren’t discerning enough to decide if what we read is information or in fact, disinformation. We need the experts to tell us what to do when it comes to our own bodies and what we should do when it comes to our own health. In fact, and this is is scary, if our own doctor, a doctor we choose to go to, a doctor we trust when it comes to our health and the health of our family, offers us medical advice contrary to the “medical powers that be,” they will suspend our doctor’s licence to practice medicine. Look me in the eye and tell me this is not 1984 occurring in 2024!

As I said in another post, the reality Orwell warned us about in 1984 did not contain freedom, not in practice, not in language. Rush Limbaugh on many occasions warned his listeners that if “Big Brother” controlled our health care we would be in serious trouble. I really didn’t understand what we was saying at the time. I sure do now. Call it a conspiracy theory but it feels like this Covid pandemic and the actions of our Big Brother 2024 are right out of the playbook of Big Brother in Orwell’s 1984. In another post I will get into how this was all planned out before any of us ever heard of Covid. Who knows the Covid disaster might have been a trial run for the reality they hope to create in the future, a future where you have basically ZERO freedom!
